And so it was that day,
after so many Tales,
I sat down very slowly,
and I stayed very still.
I never thought it was possible.
Surely it wasn’t.
I had already lost all hope of ever seeing something so beautiful,
so lovely, so full of iridescent life.
When you’re that tired, you no longer know where to look.
And it has always worked that way.
Exactly like that.
First you look, and then you see.
I had traveled so many paths;
so many journeys out, and just as many back again.
So much feeling, and all that magic;
always there, always with me;
wherever I went, the magic was there.
But I knew it. Something was missing.
Sometimes I saw it; sometimes from afar;
sometimes for an instant; sometimes it faded.
It was always incomplete.
It never quite…
It’s exhausting.
And I sat down very slowly;
and I stayed very still.
And I looked. And I saw her.
Is this really possible?
After so much wandering, did I just need to be still?
I looked again. And I saw her.
On the horizon. A point.
Without any fear.
What every soul needs.
The Light shines.
