What is truly important is the purpose, not the goal. The goal is merely a small step on the path. It is the purpose that defines the path to take. If I become obsessed with the goal, I may lose sight of the purpose, and it will become distorted. And if I alter the nature of my purpose, it will become unattainable. The secret of any journey always lies in the why of the path (the problem) and the for what of the path (the purpose).
