Appealing to critical thinking is never enough for it to appear as if by magic. There are reasons. There is a why behind its occurrence, and a why behind its absence. And most importantly, there is a why that when it does occur, it still tends to fade away. My work as a mentor has allowed me to observe that it is a much deeper field than what people usually consider. Complex thinking in general, and particularly critical analysis skills, is a very powerful tool, but it is highly difficult to execute, and especially to maintain.

We must constantly persevere. It is like loving another person every new day as if it were the first time.
